1- Student Admission Conditions: General admission conditions for Turkish students are valid to start the program.
a) Graduating from a high school or an equivalent vocational school or from one of the high schools in a foreign country whose equivalence is approved by the Ministry of National Education,
b) Being placed in the relevant unit of the university as a result of the exam conducted by ÖSYM. Admission to the program for foreign students is made within the framework of the relevant legislative provisions and the principles determined by the Senate.
2- Recognition of Prior Learning: Students who are eligible to enroll in the department, their credit and grade transfer requests immediately after registering for the courses they have taken from other universities at home or abroad where they have previously studied, are evaluated by the relevant commission of the relevant teaching unit. The evaluation is evaluated by the unit's board of directors and a decision is made only once and covering the entire education.
3-Transition to Higher Level Programs: Students who have successfully completed their undergraduate education can study in postgraduate programs, provided that they receive a valid grade from the ALES exam and have sufficient English language knowledge (with results obtained from exams such as YDS, YÖKDİL, TOEFL, etc.).
4- Measurement and Evaluation: In the Textile Engineering program, different evaluation methods such as midterm exams and final exams, as well as homework, research, project application, laboratory courses and reports are applied depending on the nature and necessity of the course. Exams can be in the form of classical exams or multiple choice exams. The grade of a course is determined as a result of the evaluation of the above elements and is given as a letter. Letter grades and the coefficient of each grade are stated below.

5-Graduation Requirements: The student who has passed all the courses within the scope of the program and completed his internships receives the title of Textile Engineer. In order to be considered successful in the course, the course grade must be CC or above (or no FF, FD, DD or DC grades). In order to graduate, students must have passed all the compulsory and elective courses in the curriculum of the year they entered the department, provide a minimum of 240 ECTS credits in the successful courses, and have a GPA of at least 2.00 out of 4.00. These conditions also apply to students who transfer horizontally and vertically to the department.
6-Employment Opportunities: Textile engineers can work as engineers in factories and workshops in the textile and apparel industry, as well as as technical sales representatives in organizations engaged in textile production and marketing. One of the three most developed sectors in our country is the textile sector. Therefore, employment opportunities are high. Job opportunities are much better, especially in provinces with developed textile industries such as Bursa, Istanbul, Adana, Denizli, Gaziantep, Kayseri and Izmir. In addition, technological developments in the dyeing-printing-finishing and apparel branches are quite rapid. Efforts to increase the competitiveness, quality and efficiency of the sector bring to the fore the use of more technical personnel.
7-Program Qualifications:
1- Have advanced theoretical and practical knowledge supported by textbooks containing up-to-date information on Textile Engineering, application tools and other resources.
2- Gains the ability to use mathematics, science and engineering knowledge and apply them to problems related to Textile Engineering.
3- Designs products on subjects related to Textile Engineering, carries out experimental studies and interprets the results.
4- Plans textile production processes and designs them within the framework of customer demands.
5- It detects, defines and formulates problems related to Textile Engineering and presents its suggestions for solutions to the stakeholders.
6- Works in interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary teams.
7- Knows the ethical values of his profession and understands the importance of acting in accordance with them.
8- Have the ability to communicate effectively.
9- Knows social, social and ecological responsibilities related to his profession.
10- It has the necessity of lifelong learning.
11- Gains the ability to use the techniques and modern engineering tools required for engineering applications.
12- Applications for business life; Have competence in subjects such as project management, risk management and entrepreneurship.
